The patient is placed on a moving platform that can move from either side to side or from front to back.
Displacements of the centre of gravity (at the level of the feet) are measured for a duration of 2 minutes. Instructions: The patient must attempt to maintain their balance while moving as little as possible.
Patients with poorly compensated unilateral internal ear dysfunction fall during the side to side tilting movements.
Patients with bilateral inner ear dysfunction cannot maintain their balance during the side to side or front to back movements.
